Why do we exist?
We are a family committed to sharing grace with each other and bringing hope to our community. Grand View is a place for families to grow together as followers of Jesus.
Our community, like us, is multigenerational (a mix of younger families and older adults, married and singles) and multiethnic (celebrating the diversity that God is bringing together).
Our Mission
Grand View Baptist Church exists to reach people in Mesquite, Garland, and the surrounding communities with the life changing message of Jesus Christ and to disciple believers to live God’s mission.
We take seriously the Commission given by Jesus to “make disciples.” We help people experience the joy of finding the reason for which they were created!
Neighbors and Nations
We believe that every person should hear the Good News about God’s love for them, and that we can share the Hope they can find in knowing His love.
That’s why we invest in special events like our Annual Community Christmas celebration for Family Fall Festival; experiences where families build memories. It’s also why you will hear us talk about our church plant in Olaine, Latvia or our partnership with Mission Betesda in a barrio of Torreon, Mexico. Here and there…we share Jesus and make “forever friends.”
Our Tribal Connections
As citizens of the Kingdom of God we are part of something larger than ourselves. Wherever God has a son or daughter, we have a brother or sister. We value every tribe in God’s Kingdom.
Our denominational Connections are with the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC), Texas Baptists, Southern Baptist of Texas, and Dallas Baptist Association. While they neither supervise nor speak for us, GrandView voluntarily chooses to support and participate in God’s mission together with these fellowships of churches.
Let's Change the World
Changing the world begins with a changed me. That is what God does. He makes us new creatures, “If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: the old has gone, the new is here!” 2 Corinthians 5:17
Grand View is a family of faith being changed by God: letting go of harmful habits, hurts, and hang-ups, being part of a small group where deep relationships form in community, becoming financially free from debt so we can give and bless others, showing God’s love by serving those in our community, drinking coffee with my neighbors and listening for opportunities to pray for their concerns. That is CHURCH and that church can change the world!
