Our Beliefs

  • The Bible is the inspired word of God.
  • God desires an intimate relationship with people.
  • Prayer permeates the life of Christians.
  • Christians live and proclaim the Kingdom of God.
  • Believers are to be conformed to the image of Christ.
  • Christian community provides fellowship, encouragement, admonition, and accountability.
  • Members give freely and joyfully to the Lord.
  • Christians serve God with their spiritual gifts.

  • We believe in one God, who is the Creator of all things, who is infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1)
  •  We believe that Jesus Christ is God in the flesh, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.  He is completely God and completely man.  He lived a sinless life, and he died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins as human beings.  Further, He rose bodily from the dead, went back into heaven, where He now abides as our Lord, Savior, and mediator.  His death and resurrection make Salvation possible to everyone who believes in Him. (John 1:1-3)
  • We believe that the Holy Spirit is God in Spirit.  The role of the Holy Spirit is to help guide people into an understanding of their need for a relationship with Jesus Christ.  The Holy Spirit lives in every person who has declared that Jesus Christ is their Lord and Savior.  He convicts people when they sin and helps guide and empower the believer throughout life.  (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)
  • We believe the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired written Word of God to mankind.  We teach that the Bible is the key to understanding life and affirm that the Bible is the final authority for all matters we face in life. (2 Timothy 3:16)
  • We believe that from the beginning of time God created people in His image.  Man is not the product of chance or evolution.  Everyone in the world was created by God. (Genesis 1:27)
  • We believe the first man and woman were sinless, walked around freely with God in paradise; deliberately chose to sin against God, severed their sinless relationship with God, and created a sin problem for all of mankind. (Romans 3:23)
  • We believe all people must choose to follow God by believing in Jesus and praying to accept Him into their life.  This enables all people to have a relationship with God.  It is not automatic; it is a personal choice that every person must make for himself or herself. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
